About

The events are designed to address the unique needs of children who have experienced trauma and provide a greater understanding of how trauma impacts education. Additionally, participants will leave with the knowledge of IEP (Individualized Education Plan) preparation, strategies to address trauma, and techniques to build relationships with schools to ensure student success.

All foster parents, education advocates, child welfare specialists, juvenile attorneys, educators, LEA, ESSA’s Designated Point of Contact, and others with a desire to help children learn and grow are encouraged to attend. CEUs for select professions will be available on site at each event.

This is a free event but pre-registration is required. The conference is from 9-4pm, with check in starting at 8 am. Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided! Certificates of attendance will be provided.
